Paris Fashion Signals a New Season with Heritage and Blooms

Scenes from Paris show how Dior, Gucci, Chanel, and other brands set the latest fashion trends.

Paris Fashion Week started with unexpectedly warm weather. The Fall/Winter 2026 shows continued with floral motifs and nature-inspired set designs all throughout the city. This season also saw the rise of a new group of creative directors, each of whom brought a different point of view to their own house. Models slid over a pond at the Tuileries Gardens that looked like Monet’s water lilies. Another presentation took place in an unfinished, industrial environment that subtly evoked Chanel’s legacy. The mix of old and new in both staging and design all throughout Paris created a succession of striking pictures that showed how modern fashion is changing.
