Amiri Expands Into Kidswear Through New Partnership With Brave Kid

As a fashion lover based in Asia, I love to see how luxury brands expand their identities and reach new audiences. Amiri’s foray into the world of childrenswear in a licensing deal with Brave Kid is a big move, bringing the Los Angeles label’s signature style to younger fashion fans. The partnership highlights the increasing opportunity for legacy fashion houses to branch their signature styles beyond adult collections.

Amiri and Brave Kid are getting ready to launch a childrenswear collection for spring 2027, covering clothing and footwear for boys, girls and babies, Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) reports. The collection marries Amiri’s signature luxe streetwear aesthetic with Brave Kid’s know-how in producing childrenswear.

A collection inspired by Amiri’s signature style

The upcoming collection will likely feature a combination of daily staples and statement pieces for everyday wear. The lineup includes denim, sneakers, flannel check shirts, jersey T-shirts and hooded sweatshirts, blending comfort with modern streetwear.

The collection is interesting in that it uses recognisable Amiri design elements. Selected pieces will have signature bones embroidery, a Hollywood logo and MA crest. The MA quad monogram and crystal embellishments will also add a more distinctive look to the childrenswear range, with varsity-inspired designs.

A highlight for the collection is the first formal suit for boys. It pairs relaxed-fit five-pocket trousers with a Western-style blazer, offering a casual, youthful spin on classic tailoring.

Plans for global distribution and retail

The Amiri collection of children’s wear will debut for spring 2027, with the first pieces due in November, WWD reports. The pieces will be available to customers through select Amiri flagship stores, the brand’s own website, Brave Kid’s online shop and select childrenswear retailers around the world.

This distribution plan could help get Amiri in front of families looking for designer clothing for younger children. It also provides the brand with another way to engage with customers who already love its adult collections.

Amiri and Brave Kid Team Up

Founded in 2014 by Mike Amiri, Amiri has developed a unique identity combining luxury fashion with rock-inspired details and contemporary streetwear. Its move into children’s wear is another step in extending that identity to a wider audience.

Brave Kid, the children’s wear specialist part of the OTB Group, has experience in developing children’s collections for established fashion labels. Its brands include Diesel, MM6 Maison Margiela and Marni, and licensing for other fashion houses.

OTB bought a minority stake in Amiri in 2019 and the new deal is another chapter in the groups’ relationship.

My thoughts on Amiri’s new path

I think this partnership is one to watch as a fashion content writer because it shows that luxury brands can evolve their visual identity for a younger audience. The collection looks more like a mix of recognisable brand details and practical pieces made for kids rather than just scaled-down versions of adult clothes.

I’m especially excited to see how Amiri’s signature streetwear aesthetic will translate to childrenswear, particularly in the form of denim, varsity jackets and tailored pieces. The collection additionally emphasises the role of veteran manufacturing and licensing partners in helping luxury labels get into new categories.

Amiri’s launch of childrenswear will be an interesting development in the luxury children’s fashion market as it nears its spring 2027 debut.
